Als Teil der bevorstehenden Uniwahlen vom 5.-9. Dezember veranstalten wir eine Vollversammlung.
Dabei wird es besonders auch darum gehen, wie sich unsere Studiengänge ab dem Wintersemester 23/24 ändern werden, was die Debatte dahinter ist und welche Ideen zur Weiterentwicklung der Studiengänge es noch gibt.
Um die Sprachbarrieren möglichst gering zu halten, werden wir zunächst in zwei getrennten Räumen auf Deutsch bzw. Englisch Infos zu Unistruktur und Wahlen geben. Im zweiten Teil werden wir alle zusammen bilingual die Diskussionen und Wahlen durchführen:
16 Uhr Infoveranstaltung auf Deutsch, Hörsaal 3:
- Wie funktioniert die Unidemokratie? Welche Rolle haben PhD-Studierende darin?
- Was wird gewählt? Wer kandidiert?
16.40 Uhr Diskussionen und Wahlen (bilingual), Hörsaal 3:
- Berichte und Aussprache über die Arbeit der Fachschaft im letzten Jahr und in der Zukunft
- Wahl der studentischen Vertreter*innen in den Gremien der Fachgruppe Physik
- Weitere Diskussionen
Im Anschluss:
Grillen im Außenbereich der Physik und Diskussion der Wahlprogramme der Urnenwahlen

Plenary meeting of all physics students
Thursday, Dec. 1, 4 p.m.
Do you think you can make the master/PhD program better? Did you face unforeseen hurdles that you now know how to handle?
You can discuss and contribute to making the program better on the plenary meeting on December 1, 2022. On the plenary meeting, we will also discuss upcoming changes in the winter semester 23/24. We will elect some offices who will bring our issues directly to the administration and the professors.
This is in preparation for the upcoming university elections from December 5-9 , which concern the entire University of Cologne.
To accommodate international students, we will first give information about the university structure and elections in two separate rooms, in German and English. After that, we all come together to discuss and conduct the elections for Department committees in a bilingual format.
Prospective agenda of the two meetings on December 1, 2022:
16:00 Info session in English, conference room old theory:
- How does the uni-democracy work? What roles do PhD students have in this?
- Who are elected? Who are the candidates?
16:40 Discussions and elections (bilingual), Lecture hall III (HS III):
- Reports and discussion about the work of the student council in the last year and in the future
- Discussions regarding continuation of offline study program
- Election of the student representatives in the committees of the physics department
- Further discussions
Afterwards:
Barbecue in the outdoor area of the physics department and discussion of the election programs of the ballot box elections.
