Online-Vollversammlung der Physik: Lehre in der Corona-Krise: Aktueller Stand und Perspektive +++ Beschluss einer Satzung der Fachschaft

Meeting of all physics students: Studying in Corona times: How does it work out? & perspectives +++ Statute of the Physics Student Council

English version

Montag, 25.5., 14 Uhr
ZOOM-Meeting

1) Beschluss einer Satzung der Fachschaft
2) Studieren während Corona: Wie läuft’s? & Perspektiven

Meeting of all physics students: Studying in Corona times: What’s going on & perspectives +++ Statute of Physics Student Council

Monday, 25th of May, 2pm
ZOOM-Meeting

1) Resolution on a Statute of the Physics Student Council
2) Studying in Corona times: How does it work out? & perspectives

Proposal for the agenda

1) Resolution on a provisional statute for the Physics Student Council
Due to changed regulations, all student councils of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences have to adopt statutes for the first time. The statute of the Student Council regulates the democratic basis of student advocacy in physics, how decisions are made, how is decided about money, etc.
Yes, „Statutes“ may sound dry at first, but it is necessary – and not just for the hopefully never occurring case of a democratic crisis. We have drafted a statute that is based on previous practice, guarantees the democratic participation of all physics students and hopefully leads to an even more lively physics department. You can find the draft here (German only).

2) Studying during Corona: How does it work out? & Perspectives
A lot has been done to enable a reasonably good start to the semester despite the given circumstances. The student council was heavily involved in the design of the online teaching and the adjustment of the regulations for exams. We also tried to maintain informal, sporting, political and cultural life with activities such as the establishment of the online foyer, the physics & ethics seminar etc. In the meantime, the first plans for a partial return to presence teaching are underway.
We want to discuss what was good and what problems still need to be addressed.
We will report on the current state of the debate on re-establishing presence teaching in the coming months, we want to discuss what will be important and what we should do together to reach these goals.

3) Various

All physics students enrolled in Bachelor, Master, teacher training and doctoral programs are entitled to vote at the general assembly. The protocol is here available.

Come all, it’s important and everyone counts!
